SOLSTICE Concert
June 5 & 6, 2010
An eclectic concert sure to please! Music for this concert will range from Broadway to Basque, to a Norwegian wedding march and a Congo song of peace. It will be an altogether sensuous and satisfying introduction to the long days of summer and light ahead.
Selections will also include a 16th Century Spanish love song and a contemporary piece, by local composer Glenn Pickett in honor of his brother who died of Lou Gehrig’s disease.
The music is varied and diverse, but the Ensemble’s quality is unwavering. Director Gary Lamprecht says that “this concert will have something for everyone” and guarantees that it will be the perfect start to summer pleasures.
